It's Freeing to Realize Who's In Control
He Owns It All.
"Both riches and honor come from You [God], and You reign over all" (1 Chronicles 29:12a)
We typically don't think about money this way though, do we? That He owns it all. Yet, the Bible is clear, God is all-powerful and wealth is controlled by Him.
Logically, can we believe that it is possible to earn money and keep it if He doesn't want us to?
"Indeed Heaven and the highest heavens belong to the Lord your God, also the earth with all that is in it."(Deut. 10:14)
So, why do we resist this thought? Because we really want money, but we don't really trust Him to give it to us. We're not sure He wants to bless us. We're not sure He cares about us, remembers us, or even pays attention to us.
But whether or not God loves us and wants to bless us is a different question.
For now, let this thought settle deep within your mind and heart - that God does control all finances and the only sure way to get money and keep it is to put yourself fully in sync with His plan for gaining it.
