Do You Want to Be in Heaven?

Most people aren’t sure if they’re going to Heaven or not.

Many wonder if they’re good enough? If they’ve been good enough to get in.

Somehow, we think that there is some number of good things we can do to outweigh the bad. Yet, that is like believing you get out of a drunk driving arrest by giving money to the poor.

If you think about it, you’ll see how silly that is. Crimes require penalties and punishments and we can’t get out of them by doing other good things to make up for it.

And that’s what sins are: Crimes against God.

And just like any crime, there is a penalty for us.

The Bible says that all of us have sinned (not just you – Read Romans 3:23), and that we have all sinned in such a serious way that death is required. (Which is why we all die physically.)

“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 6:23)

Because sin causes all of us to die spiritually, when unrepentant people then die physically, they have lost their last chance to be born again and become eternally separated from God. Since He is the source of all love and life, that is hell.

Yet, God provided an escape. He knew you couldn’t earn your way out of the punishment, so He came to earth in the form of a man (Jesus) and willingly offered Himself up to die for the sins of us. In fact, He died in the place of all of us so none of us have to die.

We only have to accept this free gift and submit to His authority.

You absolutely can know once and for all that your sins are forgiven and cast away from God’s presence, and that you will be free to live in Paradise forever after your body dies, not because you are better than everyone else, but because Jesus is.

If you are ready to pray the prayer below to God and sincerely mean it, then you will be saved, and saved forever:

God, I confess to you that I have sinned against you and others. I am sorry for everything I’ve done. In the name of Jesus, I ask You to forgive me. Thank you for providing a way for me to be with You again through Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross for me. I humbly accept that gift and ask Jesus to be my Savior, and to also be my Lord from here on out.

It’s not that complicated. It’s just about repositioning ourselves before Him, humbling ourselves and recognizing our sin and expressing faith in His heart for us and His offer of salvation, pledging to be a follower forever going forward.

If you are ready to do that, then pray that prayer and let us know! If you have already done that, then welcome! You are our brother or sister in Christ.
