Fear is not knowing the future, but believing something bad could happen. On the other hand, Faith is not knowing the future and believing something good is going to happen.

What drives your fears? A general sense of insecurity? An anxiety about the well-being of your loved ones? Not knowing where your next check is coming from? Afraid of a person who’s abused you? Or rejection? Or just an uncertain future?

If you're living life on your own without God, then there is a real reason to fear the future. For we are powerless to control it.

But there is a God in Heaven.

And He is BIGGER than all your problems. He is bigger than your money problems and worries. He is bigger than car accidents, and addictions, and any individual who might want to harm us. He is the most powerful being in the universe.

And He loves you.

The antidote to fear is faith. The real question is how much do you trust Him?

Not much? It’s okay. He is bigger than our lack of faith too.

God says to those who love Him, “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.  I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” (Isaiah 41:10)

Choose to trust that God has a good heart toward you. That He is not only stronger than your problems, but that He cares and will act. It is a choice to believe that, a choice that God may be waiting for you to make.

As Jesus once said, “Don’t be afraid; just believe.” (Mark 5:36)

The more you decide to trust Him, the more your fears will fade away.
